This blog is about a mid-20-something girl, a graduate from The Ohio State University, an employee of a not-for-profit social service agency and the adventures and musings she has on an occasional basis (more musings than adventures). She grew up in a small town in northwest Ohio that she hated until she left…now she still hates it but appreciates it for shaping who she is today.
She loves to read, but is hard pressed to name just one book as a favorite. That’s like picking which kid is your favorite. She passionately believes that no matter the medium (because she loves TV and movies just as much), characters drive the story.
She loves music. Sometimes she wishes her life could be like a musical where it is appropriate to belt out a song in the middle of the day. Sometimes she pretends it is appropriate anyways. Even though she really shouldn’t sing.
There’s two very distinct sides to her. One is girly- a lover of musicals, shoes, purses, Tiffany jewelry, and the colors pink and purple. There’s also a tomboy side that loves nothing more than to plop down in front of a tv (the bigger the better) with a cold one and watch some sports – football and racing in particular.
She also tends to be a little nerdy.
She doesn’t like snakes, spiders, rodents and heights. Mushrooms, peppers and onions also make that list.
She has no idea what her life holds for her. And is both terrified and excited by this prospect.
I’m gonna grab it by both handles and drink/As its spilling over me/As its spilling over me…
